SUPER SERIES 2011-2013: BWF appoints TSA & ESG

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) announced today, that it has appointed Total Sports Asia (TSA) and Enterprise Sports Group (ESG) as the Media and Sponsorship Agencies for the second edition of the BWF World Super Series (2011 – 2013).

“The BWF is very pleased to have TSA and ESG as its partners moving forward to the next phase. We believe that the hosts of the Super Series, the BWF and this new partnership with TSA and ESG will not only secure a significant commercial income, but will also significantly raise the bar in terms of quality and reach of the product.

“I very much look forward to working with this new team in the next phase” said Thomas Lund, COO on the confirmation of TSA and ESG.”

The BWF World Super Series is a 12 event top level badminton series attracting the top 32 players in each of the five disciplines of the sport – men’s/women’s singles, men’s/women’s doubles and mixed doubles.

At the end of each Series a Super Series Masters Finals is held which is an event with the “best of the best” from the 12 event Series for that year.

The appointment follows an extensive research project in 2009 that reviewed the marketability of BWF properties and the BWF World Super Series.

The next objective for the BWF is to look at its world events (BWF World Championships / World Team Championships) – both individual and team event, with a view to securing the agencies for 2012 and beyond.
